For pain management with ITP, acetaminophen (Tylenol) is generally considered a safer option compared to other over-the-counter pain relievers. It doesn't increase bleeding risk like aspirin or NSAIDs do.

However, always consult with your doctor before starting any new medication, even over-the-counter ones. Beyond medication, some helpful coping strategies include:

• Following your prescribed treatment plan to maintain healthy platelet counts
• Using protective gear during daily activities if needed
• Avoiding high-risk activities that could cause injury
• Maintaining regular check-ups with your healthcare team
• Adopting a healthy diet to support overall immune health

I Was Diagnosed With ITP Two Years Ago Just After Receiving The Moderna COVID-19 Gene Therapy.

David4 asked a question 💭

I am curious if anyone else has had the same reaction to the “vaccine “. If so, what treatment or medications were used to resolve your ITP or at least control it?

Yes, there have been documented cases of ITP following COVID-19 vaccines, though they are rare. Common treatments that doctors typically prescribe include:

1. Corticosteroids (like prednisone)
2. IVIG (Intravenous immunoglobulin)
3. TPO receptor agonists (like Promacta/eltrombopag)
4. In some cases, rituximab

Every case is unique, so your hematologist will determine the best treatment based on your platelet counts and symptoms.

Always consult your healthcare provider before making any treatment changes.

While it's understandable you want to help your daughter through diet, MMR vaccine-induced ITP typically resolves on its own within 6-12 weeks in most children. However, some dietary approaches that may support platelet health include:

Foods rich in:
1. Vitamin K (leafy greens)
2. Vitamin B12 (eggs, dairy)
3. Folate (beans, oranges)
4. Iron (lean meats)

Always consult your child's hematologist before starting any supplements, as some can interfere with medications or affect platelet function. Would you like me to provide more specific meal suggestions or information about vaccine-induced ITP?

These dietary suggestions are supportive measures, not replacements for medical treatment.

While ITP typically causes low platelet counts, some patients can experience rebound thrombocytosis (high platelets) after treatment. This usually happens temporarily after successful treatment with steroids, IVIG, or other medications. If your count is high, it's important to:
1. Contact your hematologist
2. Get regular monitoring
3. Keep track of your symptoms
While usually not dangerous, high platelets should be discussed with your doctor to ensure proper management. They'll likely adjust your treatment plan if needed.

4. Second-line options:
5. TPO receptor agonists

8. Lifestyle support:
9. Regular exercise (gentle)
10. Anti-inflammatory diet
11. Stress management

Always work with your hematologist to find the right treatment approach, as platelet levels need careful monitoring. Each treatment has different benefits and potential side effects that should be discussed with your healthcare team.

Only start or change treatments under medical supervision.

Was This Condition Diagnosed Before Or After The COVID 19 Vaccination? If So, What Manufacturer?

David4 asked a question 💭

I have been diagnosed and my experience is very similar. You are very lucky, other studies and medical journals I have read in indicated that many people spontaneously internally bleed, and often die below 10,000 platelets. Just my experience, not giving any medical advice here. Considering I had blood Surveillance every three months for type one diabetes leading directly up to the point where I receive the vaccine and after the vaccine. I dropped to 4000 platelets. FYI.

No actually I didn’t really notice the rash cause I’m kind of freckly and my dogs are always scratching me and so I didn’t really pay attention to it. What happened to me as I nearly died I went into a seizure so bad that I had to be put into a coma to be putting in the ambulance and I had only 4000 platelets in my blood Something that’s not usually survivable. Because I’m a type one diabetic I had Surveillance on my blood every 3 to 6 months going back five years and I was always in the teens above 300,000 platelets that is until I received the government endorsed emergency vaccine so I could go to a restaurant boy I wish I could change my decision on that. After the second shot, my roommate who is an RN nurse practitioner heard me screaming and came running into my side of the house and found me in the seizure. His son was also there and he is an EMT an and he was able to get me through as my diaphragm began to seize, and I could not breathe. We’ve only seen aalso there and he is an EMT an and he was able to get me through as my diaphragm began to seize and I could not breathe. We’ve only seen a very small amount of what is to come. I pray for everyone. I’ve lived the dangerous life already and I kinda was looking forward to chilling out my last 10 to 15 years. Now I’m at the hospital twice a week and I can’t do any of the things that I enjoy because I’m too tired, blah blah blah but seriously there are a lot of people worse off than I so I feel blessed. Good people are trying to help. Do you have any suggestions?

For people with ITP, here are the safest ways to prepare eggs:

1. Fully cooked (no runny yolks) - this reduces bacteria risk
2. Hard-boiled - easiest on digestion and safest preparation method
3. Scrambled well-done - ensure they're cooked through
4. Baked in casseroles - fully cooked and mixed with other nutrients

Avoid:
- Raw or undercooked eggs
- Runny yolks
- Sunny-side up eggs

Pro tip: Consider using pasteurized eggs for extra safety. Always clean cooking surfaces thoroughly to prevent cross-contamination. Remember that eggs are great for you - they provide protein and nutrients that can support overall health with ITP!
